So here goes:

1. Grab the nearest book.

2. Open the book to page 123.

3. Find the fifth sentence.

4. Post the text of the next 3 sentences on your blog along with these instructions.

5. Don't you dare dig for that "cool" or "intellectual" book in your closet! I know you were thinking about it! Just pick up whatever is closest.

Here's mine:
"Bowel habits are evaluated on the basis of what is normal for that patient. The nurse also determines whether the client can manage bowel function independently. Independence in bowel elimination requires cognition, manual dexterity, sensation, muscle control, and mobility."
from: Medical-Surgical Nursing: Critical Thinking for Collaborative Care 4th Edition by Ignatavicius and Workman.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Mine would be about poop. That's what you get when you get a nursing student involved in your fun little game.

Now can anyone tell me how to insert links?
I got this idea from Kether

Can a doctor suck and still make you feel better?

I went to see the OB/Gyn again today. I got the sono scheduled, and that was just about it. I gave him a list of my problems, including the fact that now I have dull achy pain after sex. My poor hubby got some nookie only 3 times this last cycle. Once the day of ovulation and twice after that. (Well, I guess if you count blow jobs, 4.)

He also said he really, really wanted Dan to get that semen specimen to the lab right away. You can lead a horse to water but you can't make him drink- is all I'm saying. He won't perform for a cup. He won't even perform for me if he knows it's under the guise of the cup. I'd say it's a classic case of the Heebie Geebies.

Dr. Brown-eye has the absolute BEST bedside manner. He's always smiling, and touching my arm, in an "I care about YOU" sort of way. He said to me, exactly twice, that WE will get this fixed and not to worry. (I was a little giddy when he mentioned a LAP. Thank Fucking God.)

But I still want to take out my long spikey earring and jab it into his eye, because I'll never forget that one time when he said, "Remember, you're already doubly blessed."

Update- probably March 7th or 8th.

Well, if I updated daily, what would I say?

I think it would go something like this:

Hi. It's me again.
Still busy.
Still not pregnant.

Thanks for reading.

I just wanted to gloat that my friend Lori had a baby on Friday. I went to see her at the hospital, and held her new baby girl (Nevaeh) for at least an hour. SHE IS PRECIOUS, by the way. But, the point of this super-short post is- I wasn't pissed off and crazy-jealous. Maybe I was a little jealous, but it didn't affect me like you would think.
Huh.

Oh, and my baby twin is getting close (2 months, I think) to having her baby. That means in some weird twisted way that the normal person couldn't fathom, I believe mine will be coming soon too.

I suppose I have to tell the story.

My friend, Jessica, had a baby girl. A year later, I had a baby girl. Then she had a boy. A year later I had a boy. For years after that, neither one of us could get preggo. Then she got pregnant. Then she miscarried. Then I got pregnant. Then I miscarried. Now she's pregnant again. (We have always joked that we were baby twins- even way before the miscarriages.)

I know how that sounds. But now, it's eerily comforting.

Egads.

I have been feeling like CRAP lately. Super tired, kidney's hurting like a sonofabitch. I figure it's yet ANOTHER kidney infection. Finally, I had about an hour of free time yesterday and dropped off some urine at my (new!! God I love her!!) GP's office. Her nurse called me at work to say my urine was clear. Nope, no kidney infection. Plus, I had to break down and take a laxative this week because I couldn't poop for days. I felt like I had to poop, but COULD NOT. Now, I've always had trouble with the plumbing, but this was WAY worse than usual. The laxative helped bunches, though. (sporadic intervals of very small poops. Hey, it was SOMETHING, and SOMETHING is better than nothing.) Whew!

Anyway, I am SO sore in the mid-section. My back, my bowels, and my abdomen. Last night I was getting into the shower and decided to press around on my tummy. It was SUPER hard. So you know, I'm not one of them "skinny girls" I've got about 50 extra pounds. I don't own a scale and my pants have been a little tighter lately. So, I'm pressing around on my belly, and it's all hard right above my pubic bone. After pressing around even harder, I get the picture that there is SOMETHING FOREIGN in there. And it is large. And it hurts a little when I do that.

Maybe one day, if I have another spare hour, I'll make an appointment with my OBGYN to recheck that fibroid. Something tells me it's GROWING.
