I'm Kind of a Big Deal
I'm just so full of awesome that I had to get some of it out.

I recently have found myself reiterating to my daughter that I AM, in fact, cool.

See:

How many of your friends' moms are taking their kids to see Fallout Boy and All American Rejects next month? HUH? And by the way, I'M going to see FallOut Boy and All American Rejects and I'm just taking YOU to be nice. How many of your friends' moms are going to Ozzfest this summer? None? I didn't think so. Do your friends' moms have Coach bags? No? Yeah, see? I bet your friends' moms listen to Barry Manilow and stuff. What CD is in my car right now? Disturbed.

I did get one great big giant compliment from her a few weeks ago, though. I was taking her to school and she needed a paper signed that was in her classroom. I told her to bring it down to me in the car and I would sign it. She said, why don't I just come up to her classroom and sign it? I was all, LOOK AT ME. I hadn't fixed my hair and I was NOT dressed to be going through the halls of a private school. And by that I mean no bra and UGLY. Then she says to me, "Well, you look better than Libby's mom, and she tries to fix herself up! " Now wasn't that sweet???

This whole "kids growing up" thing is really hurting. It hurts. I'm all hurty.

I hope and pray Liam thinks I'm a cool mom, but I know he's going to tell people I'm a deranged relative that his dad is forced to take care of.

In a way, I suppose that's true..

You are a waayyyy cooler mom than I am. Go Stephanie, go Stephanie, go Stephanie....
Eric used to give me those embarrassed to be with me looks and now he is just too busy to come over and see me since he has his girlfriend and work. Hug them both and enjoy.
