Let's bow our heads for a few minutes for the long hard fight of Terri Schaivo.

May God grant her eternal bliss.

What's your opinion? I'd love to hear it.

I think it is just very sad. The whole entire situation. At a time, i could understand why her husband would not want her to have to live a life like she has..but then, i have come to see a very selfish side of him. If he couldnt stand the pain, then my feelings are that he should have relinquished his rights to her family. just my 2 cents

I'm a pull-the-plug girl, BUT, I think its a hard decision to make when the person's request isn't in writing, nor have they talked about with their family. Its hard to know what she really wanted, ya know? In the end I think both sides can die knowing that they did everything in their power to do what they think was right for her. That's love.

Yeah, I know this is late but I've been thinking about it. It isn't going to be a quick response but here it is! I am so on the fence. I am a pull the plug girl too. However, my struggle is that a feeding tube- not heart monitor or breathing machine- was keeping her alive. I think, God, I would NEVER want to live like that for 15 years but then I think maybe she would. My gut tells me that she wouldn't and that her parents were just in denial trying to hold on to something that wasn't there. I saw the medical reports that stated how unresponsive she was. I get that. Totally. BUT, then the special educator in me comes out- this woman had a disability- what makes her life quality any less than some babies or children in this world who need feeding tubes. She shouldn't be discriminated against for her disability. That being said, I think it was tragic that these family decisions were hung out to dry in the public eye. I realize some good came from it (GET A LIVING WILL!!), but I also believe that a mockery was made of the case-her life. I'm still very torn with the case. Such hard decisions to be made.
