He's one day post-op from having the HEAD OF HIS FEMUR removed, and he's up walking! The total vet bill was $709.30. But look at that face... isn't he worth it???

He is very happy to be home. Sounds like you made the exactly right decision. I hope his recovery is quick and fairly easy. ... do dogs have physical therapists???

As a matter of fact, no they do not have physical therapists. I asked the vet about how much/how often he should get out and walk, but she just shrugged and said, "Oh, he can go for walks, just don't overdo it." Well, not being an avid dog walker, I don't even know what the norm is, let alone what "not overdoing it" with a crippled dog...
